As per the instructions of the Election Commission, in order to celebrate the National Voters' Day-2021, emphasis has been laid on disseminating various technological initiatives implemented by the Commission to provide various services to the voters during the elections, especially during the Koro epidemic. For this, the Election Commission has suggested the following various activities in addition to the activities undertaken in the past under normal circumstances in connection with the celebration of "National Voters' Day" in the state.

1, focus on technological tools:

Special emphasis will be laid on popularizing the technological tools developed by the Commission to ensure transparent, free and fair election process at present as well as to reach the maximum electorate through more efficient publicity.

a) Launch of e-EPIC: E-EPIC will be launched on the occasion of NVD-2021. Under which voters will be able to download their voter ID card in their mobile or commuter.

b) e-EPICometer: A dashboard will be created for monitoring e-EPIC downloaded on ECI / CEO's website.

c) Awareness through state / district level icons and other participants:

State / district level icons regarding technological innovation initiated by the Election Commission and. Dissemination of propaganda on social media platforms by appropriate hashtags by other participants such as civil society organizations, educational institutions etc. and tagging the official social media platforms of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer and the Election Commission in such hashtags.

Organize dissemination through electronic, digital and social media, messaging apps and small group messaging.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has announced the ‘Mukhyamantri Horticulture Development Mission’ as an important step with a concrete result oriented plan to expand the cultivation of horticultural as well as medicinal crops with the holistic development of agriculture and horticulture sector by making a historic decision to increase the cultivable land of the state. The Chief Minister’s Horticulture Development Mission aims to increase the export-export ratio and create new employment opportunities by allocating government cultivated lands in various districts of the state on long-term lease for 30 years to earn more income from horticultural and medicinal crops. Announcing the mission, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani further said that agricultural development is a challenge in the state due to arid and semi-arid as well as saline coastal areas. He said that out of 196 lakh hectares of land in the state, 50 per cent or 98 lakh hectares of land is under cultivation and there is ample potential for cultivation of horticultural and medicinal crops in fallow and non-fertile lands. In Gujarat, in the year 2019-20, with the planting of fruits in 4.46 lakh hectares and production of 92.61 lakh metric tons, it has contributed 9.20% to the total production of fruits and vegetables in the country.

The Chief Minister added that the total cultivation of crops in Gujarat is gradually increasing by about 20,000 hectares. As a result of the state government’s promotion of agricultural technology, irrigation facilities and farmer friendly policies, even arid, semi-arid or saline areas have become green with agricultural production.

He said that now the state government has taken the initiative of this CM Horticulture Development Mission to regenerate the non-fertile barren-barren government lands in these districts with the help of state-of-the-art technology through horticultural medicinal crop enrichment and double the income of farmers. The first phase of CM Horticulture Development Mission will be implemented in five districts of the state Kutch, Surendranagar, Patan, Banaskantha and Sabarkanthahe said.
